Engagement 08.10

I had the honor of doing the photos for a very long time friend who was engaged last summer and it was so much fun! We have been friends since we were very very young and used to dream of our husbands and make lists of our future kids' names. Now here we are, all grown up. And it is so wonderful.

A mothers love

I love capturing love. And I love all types of love. But I think, since I am a mom (so I may be a bit biassed), my favorite love is a mothers love.

It truly is different from any other feeling in the whole world.

Its breath taking.

Its overwhelming.

Its unexplainable.

Its emotional.

Its sacrificial.

Its unique.

Its special.

Its hard.

And I feel blessed and honored to even attempt to capture such a beautiful thing.

Babies

My favorite thing about babies is how real they are.

You cant force them to smile or make them pose a certain way.

They have a mind of their own and its beautiful and real and perfect.

They are just perfect the way they are.

Little Noah

Noah is 12 days old and just as precious as can he! He is truly one of the cutest babies I have ever seen. I was honored to be able to even catch a glimpse of how adorable and perfect he is.

For the first hour he was determined to stay awake but after a lot of patience, a little perseverance, and a whole lotta' moms milk, he fell asleep and was a dream.

Beauty

I did a very fun, impromptu shoot for a friends little sister and little did I know that some of the pictures would be my all time favorite. She was so adorable and shy and just had this amazing, natural beauty! She wasnt very "girly" but when I started doing her hair and taking pictures she really opened up and enjoyed herself. I loved seeing the confidence just bloom.

Patiently Waiting

There is something so special about capturing an expecting mother. The excitement, joy, and unconditional love is absolutely beautiful and create such amazing, special images.

We actually did some photos around 3o weeks and again a day or two after 40 weeks. She is absolutely stunning and definitely glowing. I wish I looked that good days before my delivery!
